Chelsea midfielder, Cole Palmer, has insisted he has no concerns over his own fitness.

Palmer stated this in reaction to Enzo Maresca leaving him out of the Blues’ Europa Conference League squad.

Following an impressive debut campaign at Stamford Bridge, the 22-year-old continues to be the team’s talisman this season with six goals and five assists in the Premier League so far.

However, Maresca’s men must navigate the first part of their European campaign without Palmer, after he was not named in their squad.

When asked if he has concerns over his own fitness, Palmer told The Telegraph: “Not really.

“The management’s decision was for the best, and I’m focused on keeping fit and ready for the next opportunities.”
