Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has named the one signing Chelsea need to challenge for the Premier League title.

Neville spoke after Chelsea’s Premier League 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday.

Two goals from Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones secured victory for the Reds.

Nicolas Jackson did score a goal for Enzo Maresca’s side at Anfield.

But Neville believes the Blues need a world-class striker if they are to start fighting for the Premier League trophy again in the coming seasons.

“I think we know their deficiencies,” Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast.

“I don’t want to call out Nicolas Jackson, because I think he can be part of a very successful squad that can do well for Chelsea.

“I just think if he had a world-class striker in front of him – and he was the second striker – that would probably be more aligned with a team who can go on and potentially win a title in a few years time and catch Liverpool up.”
