Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has singled out the likes of Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Matheus Nunes for special praise following his side’s Premier League 2-1 win over Wolves on Sunday.

Guardiola said the three players who came off the bench against Wolves were unbelievable.

Josko Gvardiol cancelled out Jorgen Strand Larsen’s early goal for the host.

But John Stones’ stoppage-time header snatched all three points for Gaurdiola’s side at Molineux.

“We are not a team that wins games right at the end, but the performance there was outstanding,” Guardiola said at his post-match press conference.

“We played really well to have the chances we had. The players who came in were unbelievable and to win that way feels good.”

He added: “They had some transitions; they have pace up front and physicality in the middle; they are so strong. But we were patient. Still, we are who we are and that is so nice.”
