Ecuador forward Domenica Arboleda has conceded that Nigeria’s Flamingos were better than his side in Saturday’s Group A clash at the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The South Americans were handed a 4-0 defeat by Bankole Olowookere’s side on Saturday night.

Ecuador started their campaign with a 2-0 victory over Dominican Republic but found the Flamingos too difficult to handle.

Arboleda stated that his girls gave their best in the game but lost to a superior opponent.

“We knew that Nigeria were going to be a tough opponent, they have very fast players,” she told FIFA.com.

” We came in prepared but it didn’t work. But I’m that’s football and now we have to focus on the game against New Zealand.”
