Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has said there are at least three players in his squad that cannot play more than one match a week.

Maresca was speaking to the media after the return of club captain, Reece James, to full training.

The Italian noted that the coaching crew will ease James back to full fitness like Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana.

“It’s always complicated when you get injury, injury and injury again,” Maresca said.

“You’re always looking for a solution. The solution with Reece is the same solution we are using with Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana in terms of using them just once a week, one game.

“Probably in this moment, for different reasons, Reece’s body cannot play twice a week. One of the solutions is we want to manage him in the same way with Wes and Romeo.”
