Enyimba head coach Olanrewaju Yemi has said his team’s victory over Heartland will prepare them for their continental engagement.

The People’s Elephant defeated Heartland 3-1 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.

Enyimba are billed to take on Etoile Filante de Ouagadougou of Burkina Faso next in the second qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Yemi believed that the confidence is important for the players ahead of the game.

“It is important that we start on a good note,” Yemi told Enyimba media.

“We just raised the intensity the three points is important for our confidence ahead of our trip to Mali.”
