Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov has warned incoming new manager Ruben Amorim to know how to manage big players with egos at Old Trafford.

Amorim, who is currently in charge of Sporting CP, has already been named as Erik ten Hag’s replacement at Man United.

The Portuguese gaffer will take charge of United from next week.

“I think that, based on what he achieved in Portugal, I think winning the two titles and the cup as well, based on all this it is a good appointment,” Berbatov told Mirror Football.

“So now it is going to be a big change for him coming to [Manchester] United, where normally you’ve big players, which means big egos.”

The Bulgarian added, “So now you need to know how to manage them.”

Man United currently occupy the 13th position on the Premier League table with 12 points from ten games.

The Red Devils will face PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Their next Premier League tie is against Leicester City on Sunday at Old Trafford.
