Alia Bhatt might be a movie star, but her guilty pleasures are very relatable. The actor said she is addicted to watching the hugely popular Netflix dating reality TV show Too Hot to Handle. The series, which debuted in 2020, quickly gained traction during the lockdown, which is also when Alia discovered the highly binge-able series. She also admitted to watching Bigg Boss OTT when her sister Pooja Bhatt was one of the participants.

“My guilty pleasure, something that I picked up during the lockdown, is watching Too Hot to Handle on Netflix,” Alia Bhatt laughed in a chat with Allure. The actor said her choice of content might baffle many, but there is a reason why she is drawn to the show.

“You might say, ‘Oh why aren’t you watching movies which give you some depth, make you learn something about acting and performing,’ but honestly, I just want to sit on my floor, take out my waxing strips and wax my legs while watching Too Hot to Handle. Even now when I am too tired at the end of the day, I switch on to that show,” she added.

It isn’t just international reality TV that Alia Bhatt is obsessed with, as the actor said watching Bigg Boss OTT obsessively when her filmmaker sister Pooja was one of the participants. “In the last season of Bigg Boss OTT, my sister was in it, so I was binge watching that. You can clock in to the live camera and see the house live; I would watch it in the middle of shoot and work. But it was really nice because I found a whole new dynamic to my sister” she added.

On the work front, Alia Bhatt is currently promoting her next film Jigra. The actioner, set to release on October 11, is directed by Vasan Bala and produced by Karan Johar. Post Jigra, Alia Bhatt will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious Love and War, co-starring actor husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal.
