Manu Garba, Nduka Ugbade and Abdullahi Biffo have emerged the lead candidates for the vacant Golden Eaglets coaching job.
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, declared the position vacant last week and invited applications from interested coaches.
Ugbade is looking to get the job once again after failing to get the Golden Eaglets past the quarter-final stage at the 2023 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations in Algeria.
The former Super Eagles defender has also been an assistant to Garba in the past.
Garba was in charge when the Golden Eaglets won a fourth title in the United Arab Emirates in 2013.
He was assistant to the late Yemi Tella when the Golden Eaglets won the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2007.
Biffo is one of the most experienced local coaches in Nigeria.
He has coached Nigeria Premier Football League sides, Abia Warriors, Kwara United, Abia Warriors and Niger Tornadoes in the past.
The duo of Chuks Akuneto and Ahmadu Dankoli are also in the running for the job.
