Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has listed some of the players he wanted during his time in charge.
They include Declan Rice, who is now at Arsenal, and Jude Bellingham, who signed for Real Madrid last summer.
Speaking on The Overlap, Solskjaer admitted he likes Rice a lot and could see the England midfielder giving his United side the kind of legs they needed in midfield.
Solskjaer also revealed he brought a few club legends like Sir Alex Ferguson, Bobby Robson and Eric Catona to the training ground to try to convince Jude Bellingham to join when he was still at Birmingham City.
Bellingham, however, made it clear he had a certain amount of playing time in mind for his next move and eventually joined Borussia Dortmund instead.
The 20-year-old, who was 17 when he spoke with United, has clearly made a lot of smart career choices as he shone at Dortmund before earning his big move to Real Madrid last summer, and he’s continued to develop into a world class player at the Bernabeu.
Solskjaer also claimed he wanted Erling Haaland who is now at Manchester City and he would have cost the Red Devils only €20 million at the time.
