Kano Pillars technical adviser, Abdulahi Maikaba is optimistic of a good result ahead of their trip to Port Harcourt.

The Sai Masu Gida will face Rivers United in a matchday 24 fixture at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, on Sunday.

Maikaba said the team would continue to work hard in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

“Our target is the same, as we will continue to work hard to achieve it,” he told the club’s media.

“You can remember when we played a 1-1 draw against Bendel Insurance in Kano; the next game we defeated Gombe United away, so I believe we will get a good result against Rivers United.”

Rivers United defeated Kano Pillars 1-0 in the same fixture in 2022.

Ebube Duru netted the only goal in the game.
