Victor Osimhen is in the running for the UEFA Champions League Goal of the Week award.
The Nigeria international scored a superb goal in Napoli’s 1-1 draw against Barcelona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Wednesday night.
Osimhen showed good strength to turn Inigo Martinez just inside the penalty area on an Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa through ball and fired in from 14 yards.
It was the forward’s first goal in the UEFA Champions League this season.
The 25-year-old was in action for 75 minutes in the game.
Barcelona Forward, Robert Lewandowski, PSV Eindhoven’s Donyell Malen and Porto’s Gelano are the other players in contention for the award.
