Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has charged Remo Stars for failing to provide adequate security during their matchday 17 tie against Sunshine Stars.

The Sky Blue Stars have been fined N1m for the offence.

The NPFL also ordered the deployment of a more effective security arrangement in their remaining home matches.

Meanwhile, NPFL has also suspended Sunshine Stars goalkeeper, Abdullateef Ishola for three games following a violent reaction to a ball boy during the game.

The Owena Waves have been issued a warning against any similar misconduct in their remaining fixtures.

Both clubs have been given 48 hours to appeal the sanctions.
