Warri Wolves have parted ways with 11 players ahead of the second round of the 2023–24 Nigeria National League season.
The Seasiders struggled to impress in the first half of the season. Despite recruiting and spending heavily at the start of the campaign, the club are currently struggling to avoid relegation.
The Warri Wolves hierarchy stated that the move is aimed at reviving the dwindling fortune of the club.
At least 19 players have been pencilled down to resume preparation for the second stanza of the league. The players include goalkeeper Joke Elvis, Shadrach Okere, Ekene Joseph, Ingo Festus, Ofem Emmanuel, Sodiq Okunlola, Bakare Emmanuel, Faruk Imade, Adebayo Emmanuel, and Wohuruche Victor.
Others are Osigwe Ekene, Akaba Tega, Anugbuo Loveday, Adigwe Victor, Onochie Bright, Amatesiro Shemaye, Iliya Manasseh, Saheed Olaniyi, and Cletus Alex.
