Former Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, has hailed defender Benoit Badiashile following the Blues’ recent FA Cup 3-1 win over Aston Villa.

Chelsea defeated Unai Emery’s side at Villa Park for their FA Cup fourth-round replay on Wednesday.

Their initial meeting ended 0-0 at Stamford Bridge last month.

Speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Fabregas said:

“I played with [Axel] Disasi and Badiashile.

“Badiashile is one of the best ball-playing centre-backs in all the young players in Europe, there is a lot of quality and a lot of talent.”

Fabregas played with Badiashile during their time together at French Ligue 1 side Monaco.
