The Premier League has appointed Michael Oliver as the referee for this weekend’s fixture between Chelsea and Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.

Oliver was in charge for the Gunners’ 2-2 draw at Manchester City earlier this season.

He sent off Leandro Trossard in the first half of the game for kicking the ball away.

Arsenal were leading 2-1 before that controversial incident.

Oliver hasn’t taken charge of an Arsenal game since but will be back on duty, making the key decision against the Blues.

His assistants will be Stuart Burt and James Mainwaring.

The fourth official will be Andy Madley, while Paul Tierney will be on VAR duty.
