Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has finished 14th in this year’s Ballon d’Or rankings.
Lookman is the only African player to make the 30-man shortlist this year.
The Atalanta wide made the cut after a sensational campaign with club and country.
He was named the Serie A club’s Player of the Year, finishing the campaign with 11 goals and seven assists in 31 league outings.
Lookman caught the eye of Europe after he netted a hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, who came into the game unbeaten.
Last year, Lookman’s compatriot Victor Osimhen finished in 8th place in the voting.
The 25-year-old is expected to be named the African Footballer of the Year in December this year.
