Barcelona manager, Hansi Flick has suggested that his team defeated Barcelona 4-0 in Saturday’s LaLiga El Clasico because his players did an extraordinary job.
According to him, Barcelona players defended well against Real Madrid and gave their 100%.
The win was Flick’s first El Clasico victory for Barce since he replaced Xavi a few months ago.
A brace from Robert Lewandowski and a strike each from Lamine Yamal and Raphinha gave Barcelona all three points against Carlo Ancelotti’s side at Camp Nou.
“Everyone followed the plan we’d designed and gave hundred percent,” Flick said at his post-match interview.
“We knew how to defend well and stuck to our ideas even though Madrid didn’t allow us very much space.
“In the second half, we had a lot more control of the ball, but the whole team did an extraordinary job.”
