Falconets forward, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu has been nominated for the 2024 International Federation of Football History & Statistics, IFFHS, Women’s World Best Youth Player award.
Okwuchukwu is among the 30 young players nominated for the prestigious award.
The youngster starred for Nigeria at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
She scored twice in four outings for the Falconets at the competition.
Okwuchukwu currently plays for the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) club, Rivers Angels.
Senegal’s Hapsatou Diallo and Cameroon’s Monique Ngock are other African players on the shortlist.
Spain and Barcelona forward, Salma Paralluelo won the award last year.
