Bayern Munich ace, Thomas Muller has explained why his team was defeated 4-1 against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Barcelona came into the game having lost their previous six matches against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
The La Liga leaders hadn’t even scored a goal against the Bundesliga giants in their last four games.
However, Hansi Flick’s side was excellent at Camp Nou as Raphinha’s hat trick ensured they secured a big victory over Vincent Kompany’s men.
Speaking after the game, Muller insisted that his team lacked confidence against the hosts.
He said (via @iMiaSanMia on X):
“This obviously isn’t a good feeling. We came here to win, but we lost 4-1, so there is a lot of work out there to do for us. We perhaps had a lack of confidence in the end because of the scoreline and because of how it seemed we played.
“When we look back and analyse it, we will see that Barcelona had more good moments than us,” he added.
