Real Madrid have suffered another major injury blow ahead of their La Liga El Clásico with Barcelona on Saturday.
The Los Blancos confirmed in a statement on Wednesday that their first-choice goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has been diagnosed with an adductor injury in his left leg.
This comes after the Belgium shot-stopper featured in Real Madrid’s Champions League 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
“Following tests carried out on our player Thibaut Courtois by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an adductor injury in his left leg. His progress will be monitored,” Real Madrid’s statement read.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo had earlier suffered a muscular injury.
The Brazilian would not take part in the El Clásico at the Santiago Bernabeu this weekend.
