Harmony Chidi is delighted to open her goal account for Nigeria’s Flamingos at the ongoing 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

Bankole Olowookere’s side overpowered Ecuador 4-0 in their second group game on Saturday night.

Chidi scored Nigeria’s second goal of the encounter in the 54th minute.

The forward also provided the assist for Shakirat Moshood’s fourth goal.

The youngster, who scored 12 goals for Nigeria during the qualifiers shared his thoughts after the game.

“I’m very happy. I don’t know how to express this. It’s a joy for me right now because in the last game, when the goal didn’t come, my coach calmed me down,” she told FIFA.com.

“He believes in me so much that I can do it, even when it’s not coming, so I appreciate him for that and bless God for it.”
