Thomas Tuchel will earn around £5million a year as the new England national team manager.

The 51-year-old has already agreed a deal with the Football Association, FA, and will take up his position in January 2025.

This means Lee Carsley will continue in interim charge for the Three Lions’ two Nations League games in November.

Tuchel has agreed an 18-month contract with the FA, which will see him stay as England manager until after the 2026 World Cup.

According to Sky Sports, Tuchel’s deal is worth around £5m per year.

It is similar to Gareth Southgate’s final contract with the FA.
