Galatasaray are pushing for Victor Osimhen to be fit for the Istanbul derby with Besiktas, DAILY POST reports.

Osimhen returned to training on Saturday after sustaining a muscle injury in the Turkish Super Lig champions 3-3 home draw against Kasimpasa last month.

The injury kept him out of the club’s UEFA Europa League tie at Latvian club, Rigas FS and the league game against Alanyaspor.

The striker was also left out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Libya.

Galatasaray’s Istanbul derby clash with Besiktas is fixed for October 28.

Osimhen has two goals and three assists in four appearances for Galatasaray.
