Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon was satisfied with the outcome of the team’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday three encounter against Libya.

Nigeria maintained top spot in Group A with a 1-0 victory over the North Africans.

Lazio midfielder, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru scored the winning goal four minutes from time.

Simon said they anticipated the game will be tough.

“We all knew it was going to be difficult and we prepared very well for the game.

“The most important thing is victory and the fact that nobody is injured which is a good one for us,” he said after the game.

The Nantes of France player also shared his expectations ahead of the reverse fixture in Benina next Tuesday.

“We are mentally ready, we know they will want to win which will make the game a little more open,” he added.

“It’s going to be difficult out there with their fans supporting them but we have the experience to cope with that.”
