Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has reflected on their shock 1-0 defeat at Lille in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The current holders saw Los Blancos’ 36-match unbeaten run come to an end.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Ancelotti admitted the Ligue 1 side were better than Madrid.

Ancelotti also described his players as “bad and slow”.

He said: “Lille were better and deserved to win. We were bad and slow tonight.

“We didn’t create, the possession was slow, no ideas. We were bad under every aspect.”

Real Madrid host Villarreal in LaLiga on Saturday.
