Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said he should have Jurrien Timber available for the visit of Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Timber did not complete 90 minutes against Manchester City last Sunday and was not in the squad for their Carabao Cup tie against Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday.
But the Dutchman is back in training, while Arteta remains optimistic for Ben White.
“Jurien was able to take part in training today, so that’s good news,” Arteta told the media today.
“He will be available in the squad. Ben hopefully will too.”
On Merino, Arteta added: “Tomorrow is too soon, we’ll see for next week. He had partial training today, he’s been working so hard.
“It’s looking good, it’s just about the healing of the bone and how mature that is to expose him to contact.”
