Ligue 1 club, OGC Nice, have announced the signing of Nigerian striker, Victor Orakpo, DAILY POST reports.

Orakpo impressed while on trial at the club, prompting the decision to hand him a contract.

“It’s an honour to join the club,” he told the club’s official website.

“Here, I got a good feeling immediately. OGC Nice has big ambitions, and so do I, so I can’t wait to get down to work and to show my qualities.”

Les Aiglons president, Jean-Pierre Rivere can’t hide his excitement after the forward put pen to paper on a long-term deal.

“Victor was being tracked by a number of European clubs, so we’re pleased that he’s joined us. We wish him welcome and will do everything that we can to help him blossom with us,” he stated.
