Nigeria forward, Tolu Arokodare has talked up his positive start to the new season, DAILY POST reports.

Arokodare is currently the joint-leading scorer in the Belgian Pro League with six goals.

The 23-year-old scored his sixth goal of the campaign in KRC Genk’s win over Dender last weekend.

The Smurfs have now won their last six league games.

Arokodare said he must be doing something right to be up the goals chart.

“It wasn’t my best goal, but that doesn’t matter. A goal is a goal,” he told HBVL.

“I headed the ball, after which it ended up in a mess. That’s how the ball came back to me and I was able to score.

“It was an individual goal, but the most important thing is that I helped the team. By scoring goals, or by doing other things that benefit the team.”
