Former Real Madrid winger, Gareth Bale, has weighed in on the debate of who is the greatest player of all time (GOAT) between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Bale played with Ronaldo at the LaLiga club after joining from Tottenham for a then world-record fee of around £85million in 2013.
Together, they won three league titles in Spain, before he left in 2022.
Bale was asked to rank his top five forwards in a blind ranking challenge in a YouTube video with Futcrunch and this forced him to choose between Messi and Ronaldo.
The Welshman opted for Ronaldo in the No 1 spot and named Messi in second place.
Bale announced his shock retirement from football last year, after playing for Wales at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
