Rangers captain, Chinemerem Ugwueze is optimistic that the team’s intensive training will pay off in the CAF Champions tie against Sagrada Esperanca.
The Flying Antelopes defeated the Angolan side 1-0 in the first leg of the second preliminary round tie in Uyo last weekend.
Rangers will take on the Angolan side in the second leg at the November 11 Stadium on Saturday.
Ugwueze said the team is focused on the game.
“We are very focused and have put in a lot in preparing for the second leg encounter against Sagrada Esperanca,” Ugwueze told BSN Sports.
“I think that with the intensive training we have done since the end of the first leg, we are good to go and defend the badge of the club, Sure, it’s going to be a high-pressure game but we have our work cut out and we are optimistic.”
Rangers need to avoid defeat to have a chance of qualifying for the group stage of the competition.
