Japan forward Asaho Hidaka reckoned the Falconets will be a tough nut to crack for his team.
Hidaka however said the team will give their all advance to the quarter-final.
Japan and Nigeria will clash in a Round of 16 contest at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Bogota on Friday morning.
The Falconets impressed in the group stage, recording impressive victories against Korea Republic and Venezuela.
Hidaka said they are willing to give their all in order to scale through the hurdle.
“So far, we’ve been focusing on winning each match one by one, and for the next match, without thinking too far ahead, our whole team is determined to fight with everything we’ve got in the match against Nigeria and absolutely win to advance,” she said in report posted on Japan women’s national football team’s X page.
“Everyone on the team shares that strong mindset, unwavering in the desire to win, and we are confident in our strengths and ready to give it our all.”
