Arsenal have dropped their first points in the 2024/2025 after drawing 1-1 with Brighton in Saturday’s early kick-off.

The Gunners came into the game on the back of two back-to-back wins against Wolves and Aston Villa.

And Mikel Arteta’s men took the lead in the first half, after Bukayo Saka lofted a ball into Kai Havertz’s path. The German produced a classy finish over Bart Verbruggen.

However, the game turned on its head, after Declan Rice received his second booking of the game.

Brighton were level within nine minutes, as Joao Pedro reacted quickest inside the box to squeeze the ball under David Raya.

After the international break, Arsenal are away at Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton host Ipswich.
