KRC Genk forward, Tolu Arokodare says criticism only inspires him to do more on the pitch, reports DAILY POST.
Arokodare was criticised by one of Belgium’s top pundits, Wesley Sonck for going sleeveless in pre-game warm-ups to show off his body.
The Nigerian, however, is unperturbed by talks concerning his appearance on the pitch.
“The criticism gives me extra energy in a way,” he told Het Belang van Limburg.
“I took it so hard because the man who said it was apparently a professional footballer himself.”
The 24-year-old has scored four goals in three league appearances for Genk this season.
He has been linked with a move to the Turkish club, Trabzonspor.
