Former Chelsea star, Chris Sutton, has backed Manchester United to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney.

Sutton believes the England international would be a good fit for Manchester United under their manager Erik ten Hag.

Toney has been linked with a move away from Brentford this summer.

He has attracted interest from top English clubs and Saudi Arabia.

Speaking about Toney on BBC’s Monday Night Club, Sutton said:

“Manchester United are strikerless at this moment in time, he [Toney] would be a good fit there.

“He has proven himself in the Premier League and he has all the attributes.”

“His link up, his physicality, set-piece and his all-round play have developed really well.

“At this stage of his career, I think Saudi is a no-no.”
