Former Nigeria international Victor Ikpeba has urged Manchester United to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford.
Man United have already signed striker Joshua Zirkzee this summer, but Ikpeba believes Toney will be a good addition to Erik ten Hag’s side.
According to him, the England international, who has been linked with a move away from Brentford, can take on defenders.
Speaking on SuperSport’s Monday Night Football, Ikpeba said: “They need something different like Ivan Toney [despite signing Joshua Zirkzee]. I think he has ‘issues’ with Brentford. If they can go for him, that would be good for Manchester United.
“He’s a tall lad; he bothers defenders, very good aerially and technically very good with the ball. He can take on defenders. That would be a plus for the team if they can go for him.”
