Chelsea are eager to add some experienced players to Enzo Maresca’s squad.

The Blues have now identified Juventus’ Federico Chiesa as one of such players.

The west Londoners want a swap deal involving Chiesa and Raheem Sterling on or before the transfer deadline day.

Calciomercato.com reports that Sterling has not lived up to expectations since joining the club from Manchester City two summers ago.

Last season, the England international scored just 10 goals and made eight assists in 43 games across competitions.

However, Juventus are pleased with the efforts of the former Liverpool and Manchester City star and want him in Turin.

The Bianconeri are ready to let Chiesa leave this summer and want the Englishman to take his place.

Chiesa has not been in his element in recent times, but his stock remains high.

The Blues are also among his suitors and are now proposing a swap deal involving the 26-year-old and Sterling.

While Juventus are open to such an arrangement, the Englishman’s exorbitant wage is a problem. Sterling’s salary is double that of Chiesa and Juventus can’t afford it.
