The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions will start their campaign in the CAF Champions League against their less- fancied opponents at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.

The People’s Elephant are making a return to the continent after a four-year hiatus.

Ugwueze reckoned they are up for the battle.

“We respect our opponents, but we are fully prepared to secure a good result,” he was quoted by CAF online.

Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Remo Stars will take on Moroccan side, AS FAR in the preliminary round.
