Former Manchester City defender, Micah Richards, has said that Chelsea can still finish in the Premier League top-four this season if they sign a new top striker this January transfer window.

Chelsea currently have strikers Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja at their disposal.

The Blues, who has been linked with Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, currently sit outside of the Premier League table.

Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast (via The Chelsea Chronicle), Richards said:

“It is as easy as when Alan said if Man City get Haaland they will win everything.

“If Chelsea get that proper top striker, we are looking at a top four, top five, top six contender for me.”
