Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini is backing on Ademola Lookman for victory in the UEFA Super Cup clash with Real Madrid.

Lookman was the hero of Atalanta’s UEFA Europa League success last season.

The Nigeria international bagged a hat-trick in the 3-0 final victory against Bayer Leverkusen.

Gasperini hopes the winger can deliver the goods for La Dea again.

“I think he’s doing very well. He was one of the first to come back from his holidays,” he told a press conference.

“There are players who started a little earlier and others later. Ademola is one of the players who is in the best form.”
