Bohemian FC of Republic of Ireland midfielder, Simone Reilly has expressed delight with the experience in the Falconets camp as the team continue preparations for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
The 16-year-old, who was born to an Irish father and a Nigerian mother was named in the 32-player provisional list released by head coach, Christopher Danjuma ahead of the World Cup.
Reilly further said she has no regrets turning down the Republic of Ireland’s invitation
” I am extremely delighted to with my experience in the Falconets set up,” Reilly told reporters.
“It has always been my dream to play for Nigeria despite the fact that I am eligible to play for Republic Ireland, Nigeria has always been my number choice.
“I am working very hard to convince my coaches and my goal is to make the final squad of the World Cup in Colombia.”
