Stoke City have completed the signing of Nigerian-born defender, Bosun Lawal, DAILY POST reports.

The 21-year-old joined Stoke City from Scottish Premiership club, Celtic.

Lawal spent last season on loan at League Two club, Fleetwood Town.

The versatile defender appeared 46 times in all competitions for the Fishermen and scored six goals.

Lawal expressed his admiration for the Potters and is excited to join the club.

“The club is massive, it didn’t need selling to me, but when I spoke to Glenn Whelan and Charlie Adam, who coached me for Ireland and Fleetwood, what they said about Stoke City really excites me for my journey here,” he told the club’s official website.

“The gaffer and Jon are full of ambition and that really attracted me, they want to take the club back to the highest level.”
