Cyriel Dessers scored for the consecutive game as Rangers recorded a hard-earned 2-1 victory over Motherwell on Saturday.

It was Philippe Clement’s side’s first win of the season.

Dessers opened his goal account of the season in Rangers’ UEFA Champions League qualifying round fixture against Dynamo Kiev in midweek.

The 29-year-old scored the curtain raiser against Motherwell at the Ibrox.

The Nigeria international found the net in the 15th minute after he was set up by Mohammed Diomande.

Motherwell levelled five minutes later, with Robin Propper slotting the ball into his net.

Vaclav Cerny netted the winning goal in the 24th minute after he was teed up by James Tavarnier.

Dessers’ compatriot Leon Balogun started the game from the bench.

Balogun replaced Proper 13 minutes from time.
