Sunday Anyanwu has joined Swedish club, Östersunds FK on a two-year contract, DAILY POST reports.

Anyanwu linked up with Östersunds from Nigeria Premier Football League outfit (NPFL), Bendel Insurance.

Another NPFL side, Kwara Utd were initially interested in him but the 23-year-old, who scored one league goal for Bendel Insurance will now ply his trade in Sweden.

Meanwhile, Bendel Insurance has penned a farewell message to the defender.

“Farewell to a legend ! Sunday Anyanwu has secured a move to Östersunds FK,” the club wrote on X.

“His journey from Bendel Insurance to Sweden is just the beginning. Best of luck, Sunday!”
