Team Nigeria’s trio of Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro and Prestina Ochonogor, have qualified for the women’s long jump final at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games.

It’s the first time three Nigerian will be competing in the final of the long jump event at the Olympics.

The trio will battle nine other athletes for medals in the final.

Brume leapt to an automatic qualifying mark of 6.76m to book her spot in the final.

Usoro qualified with a mark of 6.68m, while she claimed her spot with 6.65m.

The final of the event will take place on Wednesday.
