Former Chelsea star Frank Leboeuf has labelled the club as a “disgrace” and claimed it is entirely possible that they will never win the Premier League title ever again.
The Blues, who have been champions six times in their history, have not won it in seven years.
Having finished in sixth place last season, Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly sacked Mauricio Pochettino and brought in Enzo Maresca.
Maresca has been tasked with making the billion-pound squad win silverware.
But Leboeuf told Instant Casino: “The club can do whatever they want with their money but as a former player, I think it’s kind of a disgrace to see what we are seeing.
“The talent is there in the squad but you don’t have many leaders or players you can rely on, that’s the biggest problem Enzo Maresca has.
“It’s possible that Chelsea can win a cup, like the FA Cup this season potentially, but never the Premier League. No way.”
