Former Chelsea defender, Michael Duberry has hit out at the Premier League west London club for how they handled the Enzo Fernandez racism row.
Fernandez recently made headlines for the wrong reasons after he and some of his Argentina international teammates made a video singing a racist and discriminatory chant.
The video was posted on Fenandez’s social media account.
Argentinan players racially abused French players after their 2024 Copa America triumph against Colombia.
Fernandez later issued a public and private apology for the incident.
Chelsea also released a statement, insisting it has opened an investigation over the incident.
But Duberry is not satisfied, insisting Chelsea did not handle the situation well.
“I think it’s pretty weak. They could have put out more of a statement, so I’m not really satisfied with it,” Duberry said, as quoted by talkSPORT.
