FC Cincinnati have signed Chidozie Awaziem from Boavista.
Awaziem joins on a permanent transfer for an undisclosed fee for the remainder of 2024 and 2025 with options for 2026 and 2027.
The Nigerian defender will become eligible pending receipt of his P-1 visa.
“We’re delighted to have Chidozie join the club,” Cincinnati general manager Chris Albright said.
“He’s a talented defender with extensive experience at the European and international level.
“His quality, character and leadership will be a valuable addition to our group, and I’d like to welcome him to Cincinnati.”
