Chidozie Awaziem has expressed his delight after securing a move to Major League Soccer club, FC Cincinnati.
The Orange and Blue announced the centre-back’s arrival on their official website.
Awaziem, who linked up with FC Cincinnati from Portuguese Primeira Liga club, Boavista, put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the option of another two.
The 27-year-old is now the second Nigerian at the club with midfielder, Obinna Nwobodo already part of the main squad.
The Nigeria international expressed his delight after signing his contract.
“It’s been a wonderful time I’ve had with Cincinnati,” he told the club’s official website.
“I see the love the fans and everybody has for soccer.
“I see all the games that Cincinnati have been playing, and this has motivated me a lot to be part of this team and to feel like what it is to be a player for FC Cincinnati and represent this wonderful and amazing club.”
