Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta reportedly wants the Gunners to sign former Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori.

According to TBR Football (via Football Transfers), Arteta is keen to bolster his defense and he is an admirer of Tomori, who currently plays for AC Milan.

The report added that Arsenal have already gotten in touch with AC Milan over a potential deal that would see the England star switch to Emirates Stadium.

However, Arteta’s side could face competition from Bayern Munich, who also admire Tomori.

Tomori came through Chelsea’s youth academy before breaking into the first- team in the 2019-2020 season under Frank Lampard.

The 26-year-old made 27 senior appearances for the Blues but was sold to Milan in 2021, after being denied regular playing time at Chelsea.

He played a key role in the Rossoneri’s Serie A triumph in 2021-2022.
